Essential Oils Travel Kit

Recently a family member asked me about creating a travel kit to give as a gift for someone who is always on the go - flying and staying in hotels for work. Because I'm always up for a challenge and loving to create kits, I quickly agreed to help with the project. To start, I pulled out my essential oil recipe journals to see what I could find. As I went through, I found recipes that where gender neutral in scent and application. Once I had a handful of fun recipes, I began assembling the kit. See below for a fun addition to your next travel adventure.

Jet Setter Facial Mist
A Vintage Amanda Recipe
In a 100ml spray bottle (this is approximately 3.4 oz and complies with TSA guidelines), add:
1/4 cup rosewater
5 drops lavender
3 drops rosemary essential oil
2 drops geranium essential oil
Shake to combine. Spray on your face or in front of you on the plane to fight germs and for a fresh smell. You can substitute your favorite essential oils for those listed.

Get Through the Day Spray
Another Vintage Amanda Recipe
In a 100ml spray bottle, add:
100ml water, rosewater or rose hydrosol
7 drops each grapefruit, geranium and clary sage essential oils
Shake well. Spray around yourself a few times a day and inhale deeply.

Mental Focus Inhaler
Aromatics International Recipe

8 drops ravintsara/Ho leaf essential oil
1 drop peppermint essential oil

Lavender and Vodka Linen Spray
This may help with bedbugs and provide a peaceful sleep.
Read more about this recipe HERE.
1/4 cup vodka
3 1/2 cup water
20 drops lavender or any essential oil of your choice
Spray bottle
Add all ingredients to spray bottle and shake. Then pour into a TSA approved size container, if needed.

You could also include an inhaler (more on those HERE) of a digestive blend or peppermint to help combat an upset stomach; or a lavender roller bottle to calm in stressful situations and aid in falling to sleep.

What would you include?
